What initially attracted you to the world of marketing, brand strategy and fundraising?
I began my career in fundraising in 2002. Because of the era when I started my career, most of my early fundraising was paving the way for the first ever digital fundraising campaigns. In 2024, we almost exclusively make donations online, but back then it was all brand new. We were sending the first ever email campaigns, building online giving forms with developers, figuring out campaign tracking, and constantly testing and optimizing. Since then, I’ve raised millions of dollars online at many organizations, and now work for a marketing agency helping our clients attract and grow their digital revenue.
Where do you work, and what does your current role entail?
I work for Results Repeat, a woman-owned, award-winning digital marketing agency. I lead the revenue side of our business and oversee all of our in-house marketing. I consult with new clients to create a marketing plan that fits their budget and will meet their goals. I act as a client advocate when new clients onboard to our company. I love my job!
Are you an active volunteer or member of any organization beyond PPRA?
I volunteer with my children’s swim team, choir, and Scouts troop. I’m on the board for Social Media Day PHL. And, I am also an elected official in my Township.
Have you had an influential mentor in your life? If so, how did they influence your career?
The CEO of my current company, Ellen Thompson, has been an incredible role model for me. I have learned an invaluable amount from her over the last eight years. Though she is definitely a numbers girl, and has taught me a lot about margins, revenue, growth and profit, she ALWAYS puts people first, and working with her has truly changed my life.
What's something you'd like to learn?
I want to learn how to play piano. I need more hours in the day to fit this in!
