What initially attracted you to the world of marketing and communications?

Realizing this field was a natural outlet for my lifelong love of reading, writing, and bringing people together.

Where do you work, and what does your current role entail?

I work for Philadelphia Academies, Inc. (PAI), a non-profit founded in 1969 to address the school dropout crisis. As Communications and Marketing Coordinator, I focus on brand development, produce content, and manage campaigns designed to generate support and highlight the many ways in which we improve outcomes for our students.

We all know that the media landscape is rapidly changing. What do you think we can do as PR practitioners to adapt for the changing world?

In the non-profit space, I believe more can be done to harness the power of analytics and capitalize on the continuing trend toward short-form video content.

Are you an active volunteer or member in any organization beyond PPRA?

I serve as President of Philly Mayor’s Cup, an annual race held at Belmont Plateau in celebration of Philadelphia’s run club scene. We are currently working to expand operations beyond our annual race to further serve the running community, taking inspiration from organizations like the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia.

Have you had an influential mentor in your life? If so, how did they influence your career?

I’ve been fortunate to have support from both PAI’s board of directors and management since taking on my current role. Their encouragement has allowed me to take on a wide range of projects and deepen my experience in the field.

What is one of your favorite moments of your career? (Any role!)

PAI’s annual Interview Expo week always inspires me. Our students have the most incredible stories and dreams!

What's something you'd like to learn?

I’m working to improve my website development skills. At home, I’d love to master the art of baking.

Just for fun – what’s your favorite beach destination? (Jersey or elsewhere!)

Cape May, New Jersey.
