Bios:

Olivia Petersen: Olivia Petersen is the Vice President of Public Relations for The Washington Post, overseeing the company’s media relations, driving publicity efforts across the newsroom, engineering and business teams and providing strategic corporate communications. Previously, Olivia served as the Head of Communications for decision intelligence company Morning Consult, where she founded and led its communications team. Prior to Morning Consult, Olivia executed crisis communications for Whole Foods Market, assisting in corporate messaging for the company and its more than 500 stores. She also previously worked for NBC News, promoting news and talent across broadcasts as well as leading the communications strategy for the network’s Washington bureau and “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd.” Olivia established the public relations function at POLITICO and was a member of The Dewey Square Group’s communications practice. She was named to PRWeek’s 2022 “Women to Watch” list and earned a News and Documentary Emmy® Award nomination for her work and promotion of the 2017 “Meet the Press” Film Festival in collaboration with the American Film Institute. Olivia graduated from The George Washington University with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication and from Georgetown University with her Master of Professional Services in Public Relations and Corporate Communications.
