About Diana:
Diana Lind writes the weekly newsletter, The New Urban Order, on Substack. She has worked for The Philadelphia Inquirer, contributed to Philadelphia Magazine, and served on the board of The Philadelphia Citizen. She is the author of Brave New Home: Our Future in Smarter, Simpler, Happier Housing (2020) and Brooklyn Modern: Architecture, Interiors & Design (2008). She has worked at the intersection of urban policy and media throughout her career, including roles at Next City, Architectural Record, Van Alen Institute, and Penn Institute for Urban Research. In 2025, she was a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Economy and Society at Johns Hopkins University.
